Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 April 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are commonly used to make websites work, to remember user preferences, to protect against automated attacks, and in some cases to track visitor behaviour across sessions or across sites.

Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by another domain, typically for advertising or analytics). They can also be session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain for days, months, or years).

2. Essential cookies we use

ScubaDiveResorts sets only a small number of essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to operate. These do not require consent under European privacy law.

  • XSRF-TOKEN — a cryptographic token that the Laravel framework uses to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. Session cookie.
  • scubadiveresorts-session — a session identifier used to hold state during your visit (for example flash messages, anti-CSRF tokens). Session cookie.

Both cookies are first-party, do not contain personal data, and expire when you close your browser. They do not track you across sites or build advertising profiles.

3. Analytics

We currently do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics service that uses cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will only use privacy-respecting, first-party, anonymised solutions that do not require persistent cookies or cross-site identifiers, and we will update this page accordingly.

4. Third-party cookies via affiliate links

Some outbound links on ScubaDiveResorts are affiliate links to partners such as Booking.com, Viator, GetYourGuide, or TravelPayouts. While you are browsing ScubaDiveResorts, those third parties do not set cookies. However, as soon as you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and arrive on their domain, where they may set their own cookies (including affiliate tracking cookies, session cookies, and analytics cookies) according to their own cookie policy.

We do not control these cookies and are not responsible for them. We recommend reviewing the cookie policy of any third-party site you visit. You can refuse their cookies through your browser settings or through their own cookie consent banner when it appears.

5. How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you see which cookies have been set and delete them individually, or block cookies from specific sites or all sites. Please note that if you block essential cookies, some features of the site may stop working correctly.

You can also set your browser to "Do Not Track" mode or use privacy-focused extensions. We respect Do Not Track preferences when the browser sends them.
