Overview

Palau Pacific Resort is Palau's longest-running full-service dive resort, a 5-star, luxury-tier property built on 27 hectares of tropical gardens, with rooms across six categories from Garden View up to Water Bungalows and Lagoon/Pond View Pool Villas — the newer Pristine Villas section, with its 21-meter infinity pool, opened in 2019. The resort's 300-meter private beach was declared a marine sanctuary by the state of Koror in 2012.

The Diving

Daily trips run to Palau's headline sites: Blue Corner, famous for reef hook diving against strong current alongside grey reef sharks and schooling fish; German Channel, known for manta ray cleaning stations; Peleliu's wall and current systems; and the Rock Islands, a UNESCO-listed limestone archipelago that's as striking from the surface as it is underwater. Few destinations pack this many globally recognized sites within range of a single, land-based resort. The house reef adds a lower-key diving option between boat trips, and it's a genuine house reef rather than a token one, per the resort's own listing.

The Resort

The airport is roughly 30 minutes away by car. Beyond the dive program, the grounds include two tennis courts, the Elilai Spa, a Nature Center with a fish pond, and an orchid garden — plus kayaks, snorkel gear, and a pool for guests splitting time between diving and other activities.
