Overview
Turneffe Island Resort occupies a private island on Turneffe Atoll, roughly 1.5 hours by boat from Belize City — a 5-star, luxury-tier, all-inclusive property offering exclusive access to sections of the outer Belize Barrier Reef that aren't reachable from the mainland. The Diving
The resort's dive program includes the Elbow, a pelagic drift site known for schooling fish and current-driven big-animal encounters, along with dedicated Blue Hole expeditions — the Great Blue Hole being Belize's single most iconic dive site, a nearly perfectly circular sinkhole visible from space. Lighthouse Reef's walls round out the site list, along with Half Moon Caye Wall, another well-regarded drop-off in the same atoll system as the Blue Hole. The dive team runs PADI courses with two instructors on staff, with access to more than 32 charted dive sites across the atoll.
